Option 1:

 

Your day will start with a stunning walk in the nature, 1300 meters down from Mambo village to the Maasai plains.

From the feet of the mountains, where the lowland begins, a car will bring you to the rice fields and the Ndugu lake for another short walk in a completely different ambiance then the Usambaras. A wonderful opportunities to discover the incredible diversity of Tanzanian natural environment.

Return to Mtae or Mambo by car.

 

Option 2:

 

Your day will start with a stunning walk in the nature, 1300 meters down from Mambo village to the Maasai plains.

From the feet of the mountains, where the lowland begins, a car will bring you to the rice fields and the Ndugu lake for another short walk in a completely different ambiance then the Usambaras. A wonderful opportunities to discover the incredible diversity of Tanzanian natural environment. Various water birds like colorful Kingfishers, Bee-eaters, Waders and Storks can be spotted. Velvet monkeys may be seen in the trees. After a well deserved siesta and lunch, a traditional canoe will take us even further on our lake's explorations. Overnight  in a cosy guesthouse.

The car will meet you when you are ready to return to the cool temperatures of the mountains.
