Kideghe Waterfall /Shangayu forest Hike

After arriving to Mpanga village, your walk will begin taking you to the rain-forest where you will have a good chance of spotting vibrantly colored chameleons and possibly even the elusive black and white Colobus and Blue Monkeys.

 

The Shagayu rain forest is famous for its unique endemic birds and plants, as well for the Kideghe Falls, where you can enjoy a picnic among the towering ferns and experience the magical jungle atmosphere. As a natural cloud forest the Shagayu offers a more out of the beaten tracks experience, rather then crowded Lushoto hiking paths. Besides of the important value for its incredible biodiversity, the forest is a valued water catchment area for pure drinking water used by the surrounding villages.
